I never knew what the damage would actually be…
After my 10 years of service in the military I started my transition to civilian life. Before that time when I would hear about credit scores, it was like a cautionary tale. I admit during my military days my friends and I functioned as somewhat naive and ignorant individuals tanking our credit scores and almost ruining our chances at owning a home or being financially successful in any way, shape or form.
This is something we just didn’t think a whole lot about during those days. I quickly learned in my civilian life that it truly did and does do damage; car after car, outfit after outfit… it never ended. Until the first time I heard those words, credit DENIED!! It was definitely disappointing.
But the truth is I also learned as I began to change those habits and focus on my credit health and worthiness, you can always come back from a bad credit score. Whether you destroyed your score with credit card shopping, taking out an irresponsible loan, or forgetting to make student loan payments on time, there’s always a way back from the brink. It may not be easy to build your credit up as it is to burn it down, but I’ve learned with all the research and work that I’ve put into this it can be done.
I’ve taken the journey and now I’m on the road to financial prosperity and stability!!!
